Give it away...

Give it away....

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" Isaiah 43:18-19.

This scripture makes us feel better as humans. As humans, we want someone to tell us to forget the past. The past can be so painful for many of us. However, as humans we focus on the first part of the scripture and tend to miss the meaning in the last part. God assures us He is doing a "new thing", and then asks the most important question, "do you not perceive it?"

Many of us will not "perceive" the good things God is trying to do for us because we cannot see past the pain we have gone through to get there. We have to remember God loves us as His children. Just as we don't give our children everything they want because we know what is good for them in the long run, He does the same with us as well.

God never does anything to harm us without a purpose in mind. He can see the big picture and we cannot. We are so focused on our life right now and what we are feeling right now, we tend to forget that He knows that the pain we are going through now will make us 100% better in the future.

When facing a huge life lesson that is painful, we have to remember that He is strengthening us to come to Him. Give Him your problem and walk away from it. Stop trying to fix everything yourself. When you hear that little voice in you saying "Don't do this", such as worrying about money, going back to an ex that hurts you, etc., listen to it. Every time we don't listen and start to worry, and we call that ex and cry to them, etc., we are trying to "fix" the problem ourselves because we are not talking to Him and asking Him to lead us through this hard time.

When you try and "fix" the problem yourself, you are in essence saying, "Lord, the creator of the universe who laid out the stars one by one, who told the oceans how far their waves could reach and set their boundaries, who created the heavens and the earth, the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the mountains that tower over mankind, who told every lightening bolt where to hit, who came to us through his Son Jesus and suffered unbearable torture to save us, even though you did all these things, you cannot handle my problem right now." If God could create and endure all of that and also create you, could he not handle your finances, your relationships, your EVERY THING?

You will see the new thing that he is springing up into your life and you will perceive it, but first you have to give the old away to Him to bring about the new change. Talk to Him, trust Him with every thing and then your eyes will be wide open.

GIVE IT AWAY!!
